چکیده
Abstract Since understanding molecular mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2 infection is extremely important for developing effective therapies against COVID-19, we focused on the internalization mechanism via ACE2. Although cigarette smoke generally believed to be harmful pathogenesis extract (CSE) treatments were surprisingly found suppress expression ACE2 in HepG2 cells. We thus tried clarify CSE effects mammalian Because RNA-seq analysis suggested that suppressive might inversely correlated with induction genes regulated by aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR), AHR agonists 6-formylindolo(3,2-b)carbazole (FICZ) and omeprazole (OMP) tested assess whether those affected expression. Both FICZ OMP clearly suppressed a dose-dependent manner along inducing CYP1A1 . Knock-down experiments indicated reduction treatment an AHR-dependent manner. Finally, inhibited into Vero E6 cells as determined immunoblotting analyses detecting specific nucleocapsid protein. here demonstrate agonists, including FICZ, OMP, decreases activation, resulting suppression

SARS-CoV-2 infection: its psychiatric manifestations
Background: The clinical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection was initially dominated by respiratory symptoms. However the clinical spectrum is wide and neuropsychiatric syndromes are also a source of medical concern. Our aims are to present an atypical clinical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection characterized by auditory hallucinations and unusual behavior and to emphasize the diversity of ...
متن کاملThe Cell Biology of the SARS Coronavirus Receptor, Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme 2
The identification of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) as a cellular receptor for the SARS coronavirus (SARS-CoV) rejuvenated research into what was regarded by some as a minor player in the renin–angiotensin system. The discovery of its double life led to breathtaking advances in the understanding of virtually all aspects of its biology, including its structure, physiological and pathoph...
متن کاملInhibitors of Angiotensin-converting Enzyme or Blockers of Angiotensin-2 Receptor in COVID-19 Patients with Comorbid Cardiovascular or Pulmonary Diseases
Following the skyrocketing spread of SARS-CoV-2 into almost all the countries over five continents, diverse clinical strategies are urgently needed to defeat its pandemic, considering that an magic-bullet antiviral vaccine or treatment is presently unavailable. WHO later proclaimed the viral outbreak as a pandemic. Despite this fast speed of the pandemic, any recommended treatment must first...
متن کاملThe pivotal link between ACE2 deficiency and SARS-CoV-2 infection
Angiotensin converting enzyme-2 (ACE2) receptors mediate the entry into the cell of three strains of coronavirus: SARS-CoV, NL63 and SARS-CoV-2. ACE2 receptors are ubiquitous and widely expressed in the heart, vessels, gut, lung (particularly in type2 pneumocytes and macrophages), kidney, testisand brain. ACE2 is mostly bound to cell membranes and only scarcely present in the circulation in a s...

1. Comprehensive surveillance of civets, mice, cats, Golden Syrian hamsters, and horseshoe bats is suggested when SARS or SARS-like CoVs re-emerge in the human population in the future. 2. Rabbits and horseshoe bats are animal carriers of SARS-CoV. 3. Investigation of the genetic diversity of CoV in two bat species (Rhinolophus sinicus and Rhinolophus pearsonii) should provide insights into the...
